Authorisation by the Danish state

State-authorised (sworn) translators are graduates from the Danish Business Universities (MA in Applied Languages) who have been authorised by the Danish state to work as translators. The Danish title "translatør" (state-authorised translator) is therefore protected by law and gives authorised translators the exclusive right to certify translations with their signature, an official stamp and a declaration.

Every single translator associated with COMMAS specialises in a small number of subject areas. Legal texts are best translated by an experienced translator with state authorisation and in-depth legal knowledge and who has specialised in legal language.

For website translation however, the overriding consideration is for the translator to be a native speaker of the target language in order to capture the subtlest nuances of the language.
