Profile

COMMAS is a specialist translation agency based in Jutland, Denmark. Our offices in a cosy 1920s building provide a lovely bright environment right in the centre of the town of Odder. Here we share facilities and exchange experiences with other small businesses, together forming the office association AURIGA (www.auriga-erhverv.dk).

COMMAS is owned and run by Lisbeth Overgaard Lisberg, state-authorised translator. The agency works closely together with a network of highly skilled freelance translators, each of whom specialises in a given field.

Owner's background

Given her solid educational background (MA in Applied Languages, authorisation as state-authorised translator of German and the Specialised Language Diploma in English (ED), Lisbeth Overgaard Lisberg has a thorough linguistic grounding that strengthens her ability to deliver translations of the highest order. Her specialist knowledge of legal and financial terminology is further bolstered by invaluable hands-on experience with one of Denmark's largest law firms. Here, she also succeeded in obtaining the legal secretary certificate, which deepened her understanding of law.

Similarly, three years' experience with a contract manufacturer substantially improved her ability as a technical translator.

Since 2003, she has managed and controlled the quality of translations delivered daily to numerous sectors within the Danish and international business community.
